Obituary

Zatae Paulette Wilson affectionally known as "Tae" was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 3, 1987 to the late Zeno B. Wilson and Sylvia J. Hawkins-Wilson.  Zatae was the proud daughter of a retired U.S. Marine and due to her father's commitment to honor, protect, and serve, she traveled and met a lot of people.  Zatae attended and graduated Georgetown High School in 2006.  While attending school, she participated in sports and enjoyed playing basketball, softball, Judo, and volleyball with fellow classmates.  Zatae valued and recognized the importance of a good education.  She was determined to provide her 3 children the best life possible.  Following graduation, she attended Horry-Georgetown Technical College and obtained an Associate of Science degree in 2015.

Zatae was a devoted and loving mother of 3 amazing children (ages 5, 10, and 21).  A mother's love is the purest form of love in the world and mother is the greatest blessing for a child of God. Zatae's love for her children transcended all boundaries. As a mother, she was loving, compassionate, supportive, strong, protective, intuitive, and kind.  Attributes that can be used to describe Zatae includes but not limited to hardworking, caring, compassionate, strong-willed, independent, funny, and intelligent woman. People who knew Zatae best always admired her joyful personality and her ability to not stress over small matters. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, reading, dancing, and laughing.

While Zatae had many accomplishments in life, her biggest goal was achieved when she purchased her first home in July 2022. She wanted to ensure her children had a place of their own and a home filled with love.  Prior to Zatae's passing, she was employed by MIL Corporation as a government contractor for the U.S. Department of State. On September 4, 2023 at 10:30 pm, Zatae gained her angel wings in Summerville, SC.

Zatae leaves to cherish fond and lasting memories: mother, Sylvia Hawkins-Wilson of Georgetown, SC; three children, Z'Nigere Wilson-Armstead, Karter Armstead, Kody Greene all of Georgetown, SC; two siblings, Zalencia Joyner (Jarrett) of Mount Pleasant, SC and Zhivago Wilson of Brandon, FL; three nephews, Raybren Scott, Jarrett P.
