With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Wunita G. Dozier, 88, of Kingstree, SC, widower to the late John Dozier Jr., who passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025.

The Matriarch, Mom's Life

Wunita (Leath) Grayson Dozier was born on Friday, June 12, 1936 to Essie and Oliver Grayson, the sixth of nine children, all which preceded her in death.

She was married to John Dozier Jr. This union was blessed with a daughter, Glynda Lee Dozier. John and Glynda both preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Silverteen Mitchum, of Kingstree, SC and Angiel Grayson of the home; a bonus daughter, Evangelist Jackie (Willie) Chandler; a bonus son, Pastor Charles Kermit (Peggy) Miller all of Rochester, NY; one sister-in-law, Beulah Heyward; one brother-in-law, Seward Jones both of Andrews, SC; her grandchildren, Prophetess Shameka Grayson of Ella Bell, GA, Dr. Nacondus (Jimmie) Gamble Jr. of Ella Bell, GA, Shimano (Martha) Grayson of Little River, SC, Cassandra (Anthony) Paul of Kissimmee, FL, Jaquetta (Andrid) McGhie, of Atlanta, GA, Willis Chandler, of Rochester, NY, Yonnickal Grayson of the home, Shandre (Dewanna) Grayson, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Ovayia Dozier (Willis) McFadden of Effingham, SC and Jontel Dozier (Kinec) Graham of Lake City, SC; her great-grandchildren, Michael (Emjay) Jones Jr., Gracin and Gemme Gamble of Ella Bell, GA, ZaReah Gamble of Columbia, SC, Chasity, Gabby, Au'bree and Jordan Grayson all of Little River, SC, Zion, Zachary and Zaylee Grayson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Destiny and Dylan McFadden of Effingham, SC, Rosyiah, Auria, Amir and Raelyn Dozier all of Lake City, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.  Special thanks to Mrs. Falami Murphy (case manager).
