Life Reflections
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all they ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." ~Proverbs 3:5-6
Willie Harold Woods-Wells, "Pinky-Lee", was born on May 13, 1955, the son of the late Sarah Wells and Harold Woods.
Willie departed this life to a brighter one with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Prisma Health- Tuomey Medical Center in Sumter, South Carolina.
Willie was educated in the public schools of Clarendon County and was a graduate of Walker Gamble High School/East Clarendon High School. He distinguished himself as an outstanding running back and a true team player… his commitment and love for the game of football. Pinky-Lee had a deep love for life and the people around him. He cherished family gatherings, where he could often be found enjoying good food, especially barbecue, and laughing. He also had a passion for car racing or whether it was drag racing with friends. He as a man of strong faith accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
After retiring from a career in home improvements and a master in dry-wall work, he had a way of making others feel seen, valued and welcomed. Willie will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Willie H. W. Wells leaves: a loving and devoted wife, whom he married on November 22, 1999, the love of his life, Jonell Wells of the home. Those who shared his life: one daughter, Sieanna K. Wright (Ernest J.) Sinker; two sons, Rashawn O'shea and Brenden Javon; one brother, Leroy (Elsie) Wells of Mayesville, SC; two sisters, Johnnie Mae Wells of Turbeville, SC and Pearl (Donald) Rose of Clinton, MD; four grandchildren, Kennedy Rose, Kinleigh Marie, Kali James and Ernest J James Sinker, III "Tre"; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
