Life Reflections
"Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."
Psalms 23:4
Willie Davis Scott Sr. was born on November 28, 1929 to the late Sammy Scott and Ethel Johnson Scott, in the state of South Carolina. On Sunday, January 19, 2025, God called Willie Sr. home to be with him. Willie Sr. was preceded in death by his daughter Ollie Rea Scott.
"Affectionately known as Bubba"
Willie Sr. met and married the late Ollie Bell Brown, and to this union five children were born. Willie Sr. later would move his family to Hallandale Beach, Florida in 1955, where he would maintain several jobs, including Meekins Construction. His passion for working on cars made him known in the community as the neighborhood mechanic. He later met and married Mary York, and moved back to the state of South Carolina, where he was most comfortable, until the lord called him home.
"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
Willie Sr. is survived by: his loving children, Willie Scott Jr. of Greeleyville, SC, Levern (Sarah) Scott of Savannah, GA, Abraham (Sandra) Scott of Hallandale Beach, FL, Patricia Scott (Clarence) Watson of Hollywood, FL, Daniel York of Deerfield Beach, FL and Mary (Lawrence) Meyers of Ft.
