In Loving Memory

William Timmons, Jr., affectionately known to family and friends as "June" or "Bodlilly," began his earthly journey on January 16, 1962, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was the beloved son of the late William Timmons, Sr. and the late Victoria Timmons Gadsden.

During his early childhood, William relocated with his parents and siblings to South Carolina. He was raised in a vibrant, bustling household, surrounded by the love of a large family. William received his formal education within the Berkeley County School System, where he developed early friendships and roots that would last a lifetime.

William was united in marriage to Barbara Brunson Timmons, and to this union, three children were born: William LaShawn Brunson, Gregory Antwaun Timmons and Latoya Denise Timmons.

In 2001, William relocated to Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he was fortunate to cultivate deep friendships that quickly blossomed into family. To know William was to know laughter. Possessing a naturally outgoing personality and an infectious sense of humor, he truly earned his reputation as the life of the party. He had a rare gift for brightening any room he walked into, lifting spirits, and bringing pure joy to those around him. William found great pleasure in the simple things of life, especially through his profound love for music and dancing. His enthusiastic spirit and festive energy left a profound and lasting mark on every family gathering and community celebration.

On Friday, July 10, 2026, William departed his earthly home to enter into eternal rest. He is now joyfully reunited with his beloved parents, William Timmons, Sr. and Victoria Timmons Gadsden, alongside the many cherished family members and dear friends who preceded him in death.

William's legacy of love, kindness, and unbridled laughter will forever live in the hearts of those he leaves behind. He will be loving remembered and cherished by his children, William LaShawn Brunson, Gregory Antwaun Timmons and Latoya Denise Timmons, all of Andrews, South Carolina.

He is also survived by nine siblings: Minister Pamela Bennett-Jones of St. Stephen, SC, Jeffrey Timmons, Darrell Timmons and Vince Edward Gaillard (Dominique) all of Pineville, SC, Cheryl Luckett (Theo) and Adolf Timmons both of Virginia Beach, VA, Brenda Lee Singleton (Michael) and Anthony Jerome Timmons (Laurel) both of Fayetteville, NC and DeAngelo Keyon Timmons (Karie) of Summerville, SC. He also leaves to cherish his memories nine grandchildren. Additionally, he leaves to cherish; two aunts, Ruby Mae Almond and Florabelle Watkins; an uncle, Louis Bennett; two cousins who were like brothers, Johnathan and Joseph Bennett and a special companion, Catherine Bell of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

He is also remembered with love by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, loved ones and friends.
