Life Reflections

William Moses McElveen Jr., son of the late William Moses McElveen Sr. and Bernice Burgess McElveen, born August 4, 1972 in Florence County, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father, William Moses McElveen Sr.; his sister, Pamela S. McElveen; his aunt, Mae E. Burgess; his uncles, McBride Burgess, Deacon Kelly McElveen, Deacon Roland James McElveen and Deacon David McElveen. William joined Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Hebron, South Carolina. He gained his formal education at Kingstree Senior High and graduated Class of 1990. He was employed with Glasscock in Sumter, SC and McElveen Trucking of Mouzon, SC.

"Bunky" as he was affectionally called, started driving trucks at  the early age of 16 with his father. He had a kind and sweet spirit towards anyone that he met. He was always smiling.

William leaves to cherish his special memories: his mother, Bernice Burgess McElveen of New Zion, SC; his brother, Kelvin (Teresa) McElveen of Cades, SC; one special niece, Chanora McElveen of Cades, SC; two nephews, Kalvin McElveen of Cades, SC and Anthony A.J. McElveen of Sumter, SC; his aunts and uncles, Gloria (Adrain) Ridgill of Manning, SC, John (Majorie) Burgess of Kingstree, SC, Ronnie (Vivian) McElveen of Kingstree, SC, Danny (Catherine) McElveen of Kingstree, SC, Charles (Lois) McElveen of Olanta, SC, Shirley (Enoch) McKnight of Lake City, SC, Carolyn (Johnny) Moore of Columbia, SC, Sylvia (Roosevelt) Robinson of Charlotte, NC, Judy M.
