Life Reflections

Toneya Inez Simon, age 37, departed this life on June 23, 2025 and went home to be with her Heavenly Father after a period of illness.

Toneya, daughter of Tina Simon Johnson and Malcolm Johnson was born on June 21, 1988 in Paterson, New Jersey.  The family later relocated to Lake City, South Carolina in September of 1999. Toneya received her education at Ronald E. McNair and Lake City High School.

Toneya was preceded in death by her grandmother, Joann Hannah.

Toneya leaves to cherish her memories: her sons, Gary Green and Mahki Simon both of Lake City, SC; her daughter, Amira Cooper of Lake City, SC; her mother, Tina Johnson (Vern) of Florence, SC; her father, Malcolm Johnson (Tammy) of Locust Grove, GA; her brother, Marquise Simon (Qualyshia) of Lake City, SC; her sisters, Tyesha Askew of GA, Keyana Askew and Whitney Thomson both of Paterson, NJ; her grandfather, Roger Hannah (Constance) of Lake City, SC; her grandparents, Lavern and Annie Ruth Cooper of Kingstree, SC; her grandmother, Romie Johnson-Easton (Tommy) of Elmwood Park, NJ; along with a hosts of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
