Obituary

With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Thomas Craig "TC" Smith, husband of Natosha Smith, who passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

A Lifetime With Thomas Craig TC Smith, Sr.

Thomas Craig "TC" Smith, Sr. , affectionally known as "Boo", the son of the late Deacon L.D. Smith and Elizabeth Smith was born on September 11, 1984. On Thursday, January 15, 2026, God sent his angels and called his son home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ethan Lee Smith.

T.C. attended the public schools of Florence County and was a Class of 2003 graduate of South Florence High School. While at South Florence, he participated in several sports to include Football, Basketball, and Track. In his earlier years after high school T.C. was employed at Ingram Lumber, Honda of Timmonsville and Carolina Poly.

In keeping the tradition of his parents, T.C . was self-employed at the beloved family business, Smith's Produce. At an early age, T.C. accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and began ministering through songs with his father's group L.D. Smith and The Supreme Jubilees. For years he sang as one of the leaders of the group, until his mother had the vision of expanding the group that led to a lasting legacy. Elizabeth formed the group T.C. and the Smith Brothers 36 years ago. Along with the Smith Brothers. T.C. performed in various areas of the United States. He enjoyed lifting up the name of Jesus everywhere he went. He was not ashamed to shout and sing for the Lord!

T.C. leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of three years, Natosha Smith; four children, Shatavia Smith, Audrea Smith, Thomas Smith, Jr., and Banner Smith; four brothers, Mark (Ivary) Smith and Jeremiah (Dolly) Smith of Florence, SC, John (Koceanna) Smith and Kevin (Chasity) Smith of North Carolina; a sister, Barbara Myers of Florence, SC; his best friend, Lawrence "Domielle" Scott, III; eight uncles, Orell Smith, Calvin (Diane) Smith, Richard Smith, Melvin Hardy, Leo Hardy, Barry Hardy, Alston Hardy, and James Hickson; eight aunts, Evangelist Elizabeth (Maxine) Jordan, Linda (Donald) Fullard, Mahelia Jones, Louise Hardy, Pandora Hardy, Judy Ann Hardy, Helen Hickson, and Betty Hickson; a mother-in-law, Barbara Richardson; a father-in-law, Ronald Richardson, sisters and brothers-in-law, Cassondra, Cassie and Ronald Richardson, II; twenty-three nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends and anyone who's life he touched.

The family received friends and family at 3516 S. Irby Street Florence, SC 29505.
