With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Terry Lee Washington, 74, of Georgetown, SC, who passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024.

Life Reflections

Terry Lee Washington was born on August 23, 1950 to Evelyn Washington (Verner), who preceded him in death. He passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024.

Terry "Bud" as he was affectionately called, had one brother, Robert Lethonia Manigault, Sr.; and three sisters, Lilly Ruth Verner, Vanessa Verner (Ham) and Gloria Sims, who all preceded him in death.

Having been declared legally blind since childhood, Bud attended The School for the Blind, where he learned basic life skills and the ability to carry out activities of daily living as an independent blind person. Bud has been a lifelong resident of North Santee, where he has brought years of joy to his family and friends through his love of music and his extraordinary talents as a DJ. There was never a party or gathering he attended that people were not in awe of and was brought joy by his unique way of expressing his dance moves.

Years prior to his passing he happily became a member of Open Bible Tabernacle.

Those left to cherish Terry's loving memories are: his niece, Anissa Verner of Georgetown, SC; three nephews, Dwayne Goodman (Shirley) of Raleigh, NC, Robert Lethonia Manigault, Jr. (Cerise) of Concord, NC and Tremil (Thurman) Wilson of Georgetown, SC; as well as countless family and friends, to include a very devoted family friend, companion and loving caregiver, Jermaine Reid.

The family is receiving friends and family at 17 Hatties Court, Georgetown, SC.
