In Loving Memory of Terry Leonard Kingcade

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Leonard Kingcade, 53, of Kingstree, South Carolina, who departed this life on September 19, 2026.

Terry was born on January 6, 1973, to Vernetta Kingcade and the late Roosevelt Kingcade. He was a loving son, brother, family member, and friend whose presence brought laughter and joy to those around him.

Terry had a personality that could light up a room. He loved football, listening to music, and dancing, but one of the things he enjoyed most was making his family and friends laugh. His sense of humor, warm spirit, and ability to bring people together will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Throughout his life, Terry was a hardworking man who took pride in the work he did. He worked for Dimery and Rogers Funeral Home, served as a mixer for Rush Construction and Midstate, and worked as a custodian at St. Mark Elementary School. Through each of his jobs, Terry made connections with people and left memories that will not soon be forgotten.

Terry leaves to cherish his memory his beloved family, including: his mother, Vernetta Kingcade of the home; bonus father, Amos Moyd of Kingstree, SC; siblings, Janice Kingcade of Kingstree, SC, Carnell Kingcade of Kingstree, SC, Geneva Hall of Rochester, NY and Rodney Fields of Rochester, NY; bonus sisters and brothers, Renee Beckett Woods (Jason) of Rochester, NY, Brian 'BJ" Scott of Kingstree, SC, Omekia Moyd of Kingstree, SC, Emma Moyd of Myrtle Beach, SC and Emmett Moyd (Kim) of Kingstree, SC; a little sister, Zaniya Gibson of Kingstree, SC; five aunts, Virley Epps of Kingstree, SC, Catherine (Ravenell) Fulton of Kingstree, SC, Rennessa Hanna of Florence, SC, Cherry Ivory of Rochester, NY and Norma J Hanna (James) Lake City, SC; two uncles, Leron Kingcade of Rochester, NY and Joseph Dukes of Kentucky; two nieces, Brittany and Jasmine Scott of Kingstree, SC; three great nieces,Taylor Avant, Kehlani Scott and Kylie Fulton; with many other relatives, friends, coworkers, and loved ones whose lives he touched.

Though Terry's time on earth has come to an end, the laughter he shared, the memories he created, and the love he gave will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

The family is receiving friends and family at 49 Arcadian Lane, Kingstree, SC.
