Life Reflections

Tanaya Nyree Leianjae Hall, affectionately known as Tanaya, was born on July 8, 2000, in Charleston, South Carolina, to Kenyada Hall Jenkins and the late Michael Wigfall. She departed this life and entered her eternal rest on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Tanaya, a native of Pineville, SC, received her formal education through the Berkeley County School District. She was a proud 2019 graduate of Timberland High School. As an infant, she was christened at Greenland Baptist Church of Pineville, South Carolina. Tanaya worked at SignaPay of Goose Creek, SC.

Tanaya was an amazing soul, who cherished every moment spent with her children and family. Her laughter was infectious, and her energy could brighten any room even in the darkest days and she was known as the life of the party. Tanaya brought joy and warmth wherever she went, she was also deeply goal-driven, always pushing herself and others to be their best. Her love, ambition, and vibrant spirit will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.

Tanaya was preceded in death by: her father, Michael Wigfall; her grandfather, Sam Hall; grandmother, Marie Wiggins Hall; her aunt, Maria Hall and her uncle, Julius Ramsey.

Tanaya leaves to cherish her loving memories: her loving children, Melody Drayton, Tayelin Gaillard and Jayelin Gaillard; her loving mother, Kenyada (Martin) Jenkins of Pineville, SC; her beloved brother, RaShawn Hall of Pineville, SC; her grandfather, Michael McCray of New York, NY; her godparents, Samantha (Victor) Garcia, Sureka Wigfall, Makeitha Newland, Sean White and Damon Ravenell; her aunts and uncles, George (Leah) Ramsey of Wesley Chapel, FL, Tossie Simmons of Charleston, SC, Darrell Wigfall of Sumter, SC, Joseph Wilson and Miquel Wilson both of Pineville, SC; her two best friends, Latajarae Boone and Sharese Brown; along with a host of other godbrothers, godsisters, cousins, extended family  and friends.
