Steven Aiken
Jr.
Mar 22, 1952 — Aug 9, 2026
N. Charleston
With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Steven Aiken Jr., 74, husband of Carrie Aiken, a United States Army Veteran, of N. Charleston, SC, who passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
The Obituary
Stephen Aiken Jr., affectionately known as "Bossy," beloved son of the late Stephen and Julia Aiken, was born on March 22, 1952, in Charleston, South Carolina. He departed this life on August 9th, 2026.
He received his education in the public schools of Charleston County. Stephen enlisted in the United States Army in 1974 and served until 1976. He was employed at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, for 8 years.
Stephen lived a life filled with love, laughter, charisma, and he lived it to the fullest. He was happiest when he could put his hands and mechanical knowledge to work, building something out of absolutely nothing. He also enjoyed fishing, racing motorcycles and cars, spending time with loved ones, and being the life of the party. We also cannot forget his green thumb, a gift he inherited from his mother. His favorite teams were the Carolina Panthers and the USC Gamecocks.
As we reflect on the life of Stephen, our hearts overflow with cherished memories. From his infectious smile and witty sense of humor to his unforgettable dance moves, he had a remarkable ability to light up any room he entered. We will forever cherish the joyous family gatherings, heartfelt conversations, and countless moments of love and laughter that enriched our lives and left an everlasting imprint on our hearts.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Julia Aiken.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Elaine Cynthia Whack-Aiken; his six children, Tercelle Sharper, Stephen Sharper, Jamarial Robinson, Jamual Robinson, Devon Robinson, and Lendora Aiken; his 16 beloved grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; his seven siblings, Mary-Ann Williams (Leroy), Barbara Capers, Sarah Moultrie, Debbria Aiken, Johnny Aiken, Renee Johnson, and Noel Aiken; and a host of nieces and nephews, along with extended family members, friends, and countless others whose lives he touched.
arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of St. Stephen, SC. 843-354-2292.
