Obituary

Life Reflections

Stephanie Denise Rose, age 51, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina. Stephanie Denise Rose was born on September 24, 1974, in Kingstree, South Carolina to Bettie Jean Rose and James "Float" Davis.

Stephanie received her education in the public schools of Lake City, SC. She was known to be a dancer, rapper, and a part of Lake City High School's flag girls team. Then she proudly graduated with the Class of 1994. Stephanie worked in the hospitality industry as a supervisor for many years, and then she shifted to the medical field where she worked with the elderly, and children with disabilities. She had to resign because of her declining health. Stephanie was a member of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Cades, SC; then she later became a member of Mega/Omega International Holiness Church, Cades, SC, where she faithfully worshipped.

Stephanie brought a smile on every face in any room. Her laughter alone could make anyone laugh. She was more than just a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and partner, she was one of the best therapists. If you needed a listening ear she was there not just to listen, but to give advice on what needed to be done and how to do it. She believed if you try hard enough and push yourself, you can make it happen. Linda Crosby was not just Stephanie's aunt, she was like a second mother and her best friend, although they sometimes had different views about life, that didn't get in the way and stop them from loving each other. They always came back together like family should, and their love for each other grew stronger each day. Roy Crosby was not just Stephanie's uncle; he was like a second father to her. She could always depend on him to give her a helping hand. He loved her as his own. Stephanie shared unforgettable laughs with many people, especially Pamela Epps, her homegirl who she talked on the phone with for hours. Every conversation led to the next one, and every laugh lasted minutes, which turned into an hour, then several hours. Shalanda Vaugh wasn't only Stephanie's cousin, but her sister too. They both didn't play about each other, if something was wrong, they would get to the bottom of it. Both Stephanie and Shalanda protected and stood up for each other like sisters should. Stephaine's greatest joy in life was her children, friends, and family

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her lifelong partner, Gerald Chandler; her devoted children, Stephfon Rose and Stephfora Rose all of the home, Lake City, SC; her special goddaughter, Little Miss Ka'Myra, affectionately known as "Myree," whom she loved as her own. She is also survived by: her siblings, her twin brother, Stanley (Beverly) Rose, who always had a joke up his sleeve, Billy "Speedy" (Shawn) Rose, she had talks with Billy about how things are going with life, Bryant (Kesha) Rose, whom she gave advice to about life, Brandon Rose, even though they didn't get to see each other often, their love for each other was always strong, Larry Rose, she called on him, whenever she needed someone to help her with the heavy lifting of things and Alisha Davis, her sister, whom she had a good laugh with; her half-brother, Tripp Davis, who she had good talks with as well. Stephanie cherished a bond with her special sister-in-law, Kesha Rose. Stephaine's memory will live on in the hearts of a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and all who were blessed to know and love her. Her presence, her laughter, and her unwavering love are deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to be with us all, and shine through those she leaves behind.
