Georgetown
With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Shirley Moultrie, 89, of Georgetown, SC, who passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025.
Life Reflections
Ms. Shirley "Jack" Moultrie was born February 18, 1936, to the late Eddie and Mable Moultrie as the one and only child. On Friday, September 19th, 2025, she peacefully entered eternal rest.
Shirley graduated from the public schools in Winston-Salem, NC. She never married, and she didn't have children. She worked as a post office attendant in her younger adult years.
Shirley was very fond of and close to her cousins, Mrs. Almina Wilson, Ms. Mary Julia Grant, Mrs. Magdalene Cox and Telisha Parson, also one of her caretakers at Prince George Nursing Home until her passing and her aunt, Helen Bertha Giles, who predeceased her.
Shirley will always be remembered for her quiet, but inquisitive demeanor. If you were ever around Shirley, better known as "Jack", she was bound to ask you her two favorite questions. "Where Meme? Where Julia?
Her aunts and uncles all predeceased her, Helen Bertha Giles, Evelina Grant Moultrie, Queen Grant Moultrie, and Viola "Gal" Moultrie; two uncles, Herbert "Uncle Bubba" Moultrie and Samuel Moultrie (Mrs. Almina Wilson).
She is survived by: her cousins; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
