Lake City
With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Sharon Brown, 73, of Lake City, SC, widow of the late Clayton Brown, who passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at MUSC, Florence, SC.
~Life Reflections~
Sharon W. Brown, daughter of the late Aaron Williams and Gloridine Williams, was born May 18, 1951, in Florence County, South Carolina. She passed into eternal sleep on June 28, 2024.
Sharon was preceded in death by: her husband, the late Clayton Brown, one sister, Maryland Gail Ford.
Sharon Brown graduated from Gibbs High School in 1970.
She began working at Marsh Lumber Company in Machinery, this is where she met her husband and relocated to Lake City, South Carolina, to become a devoted and loving wife to her husband and a stay home mother of six children.
She was a dedicated member of St. John United Methodist Church. She served on the Gospel Choir and as a member of the United Women in Faith.
Sharon was nothing less than a virtuous woman, who loved the Lord. She was a true worshipper. Her passion for God could not be hidden. She always had a praise in her heart and throwing her hand up would seal her praise. She had a great love for flowers, she took care of every flower she received, made sure she watered her plants daily and it filled her heart with joy to see them grow. She always told her kids to give her flowers while she is here. She loved to laugh; it was so contagious to be in a room with her; her smile would comfort the room. She enjoyed keeping any and everything clean in her house and always taught her kids to do the same. She took pride in everything she had. She nurtured and cared for her husband and children, showing strength and Agape love like no other. After losing her husband in 2019, she continues to still lead her family with the love of God and taught her children to be strong, and let God guide us as he guides her. She loved with her entire being and excepted everyone for who they were. She truly gave herself to the world.
Loved ones left to cherish her memories: four sons, Clayburn Brown of Kingstree, SC, Sherman (Keyla) Brown of Fort Knox, KY, Jason Brown of Lake City, SC and Marvin Brown of Hemingway, SC; two daughters, Angel (Toriano) Wingate of Florence, SC and Ashley (Robert) Sumpter of Columbia, SC; sixteen grandchildren; two sisters, Venus (Freddie) Cockfield and Glorial Pitt; two brothers, Dennis (Pattie) Williams and Aaron Williams (Jr.); brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family is receiving friends and family at her late residence, 660 Moore Rd., Lake City, SC.
All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of Lake City, SC. 843-354-2292.
