Life's Journey Begins….

Miss Shanika Dorsey was born on October 16, 1990 in Brooklyn, New York. On Sunday, May 18, 2025, she entered into eternal rest.

Shanika was educated in the public schools of Brooklyn, New York and Williamsburg County. Shanika had a deep and genuine love for people and it showed in every job that she had. Her warm smile and unique sense of humor made others feel welcome as she worked at several restaurants across the Pee Dee area. Most recently, she worked at Wendys, where she filled those around her laughter. Shanika loved her kids and family and she loved to sing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Annie Mae Dorsey; one aunt, Latisha Dorsey Braxton.

Miss Shanika leaves to cherish her loving memories, her loving children Novortra Dorsey, Tyler Dorsey, and Greyson Dorsey all of the home; two loving sisters, Eloise McClary of the home and Mary Dorsey Canty of Kingstree, SC; eleven maternal siblings, Maya, LaToya, Shatina, Mia, Saleema, Mistic, Avery, Jason, Sheldon, Sayvonne, and Kiyon all of New York City; one uncle, Eddie Dorsey; four aunts, Winnie Wallace of Kingstree, SC, Rosa McCrea of Washington, DC, Evelyn McGill of Atlanta, GA and Cena Johnson of Bronx, NY; two nephews, Gerald (Anetta) Dorsey of Charlotte, NC and Demone Thompson of Kingstree, SC; one niece/sister Desire McCrea; two special friends, Zaniah Tarrant and Zephaniah Miguel Tarrant both of Kingstree, SC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
