With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Samrick Alston, 66, widower of Carolyn Alston, of Georgetown, SC, who passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Obituary

In the early morning of January 27, Samrick's name was summoned from suffering to reward. Samrick "Ricky" Alston, son of the late Ericle Alston was born in McClellanville, SC. He attended Lincoln High School where he graduated and joined the U.S. Army.

Samrick was preceded in death by his mother, Ericle Alston; sisters, Mary Alston, Delphine Cash and brother, Bincent Greer.

Samrick leaves to cherish his loving memories: his sisters, Martha Alston and Eartha (Timohty) Jamison; his brother, Vincent Greer; a devoted circle of nieces and nephews, Rachel (Jeffrey) Brown, Geshonia Jackson, Bincent Greer, Sarena Lee, Deshan (Crystal) Jackson, Fredricka Greer and Stafford Jamison. He is also remembered by: fifteen grandnieces and grandnephews, six great grandnieces and great grandnephews; along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.
