Kingstree

Life Reflections
"The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusted in Him and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise Him Psalm 28:7
God in His infinite wisdom is keenly aware when one of His children has grown tired of their journey. For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building not made by hands, but whose maker and builder is God.
Ronald Lee Cunningham completed his journey and entered eternal rest in Florence, SC on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, after an extended illness. He was born July 1, 1966 in Kingstree, SC, the son of the late Laurie Lee Cunningham and Georgia Mae Shaw Cunningham. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Kenneth Lee Dukes.
He received his formal education in the public schools of Williamsburg county as a student at St. Mark Elementary and High School. Ronald took his love for being outside and turned it into a career working on the tree farm planting trees that fulfilled a need for nature and man, and working on a turf farm.
Ronald's family was affiliated with St. Paul United Methodist Church and that is where he received his early religious teachings.
Ronald will live on through precious memories carried by his loving children, daughter, Jessica (Kelson) Reed and son, Teko Washington both of Kingstree, SC; three grandchildren, Katrez Giles, Kaumauri Washington and Jayden Shaw all of Kingstree, SC; his devoted and caring mother, Georgia Mae Cunningham of the home; four sisters, Rochelle (Rev. Jonathan) Gamble of Salters, SC, Pamela Cunningham of Charlotte, NC, Mary (Wayne) Tisdale and Linda Tisdale both of Kingstree, SC; eight brothers, Sylvester Tisdale, Timothy Cunningham, Kevell (Yolanda) Shaw, James Louis (Cutina) Tisdale, John (Suanetta) Tisdale, Sammy Tisdale and Jimmy McClary all of Kingstree, SC and Laurel (Marilyn) Cunningham of Charlotte, NC; six aunts, Willie Shaw, Doris (Rev. Charles) McCrea, Lou Bertha Shaw and Patricia Shaw all of Kingstree, SC, Sheryl Shaw of Lake City, SC and Ella (Ellis) Prior of Rochester, NY; two uncles, Edward Shaw of Hollywood, Florida and Rev. Olin Dukes of Kingstree, SC; a sister-in-law, Doris Dukes of Kingstree, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of Kingstree, SC. 843-354-2292.
