" To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven"

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Roger Ohara Gagum, affectionately known as "Peanut", was born June 13,1974 to Shirlinda Gagum and Roger Dean Coles at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown, South Carolina.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Roger Dean Coles, his brother, John "Shorty" Cohen, and his stepmother, Sylvia Ann Coles.

Roger attended the public schools of Hemingway, South Carolina.

Roger was joined in Holy Matrimony to Tomecka Tucker on March 27, 2005. Roger was one of the most reserved, wittiest and respectful gentleman a person could encounter. He was a former employee of Yanfeng Automotive Interiors of Greenville, SC and Bill Moore Construction of Hemingway, SC. He was a dedicated and an instrumental member of the Williamsburg County Recreation Football Team. After health issues, he was always present and held down his spot at Brunson Crossroads.

Roger was a member of Matthew Holiness Church of Hemingway, SC under the leadership of Bishop J. Harris, where he enjoyed being a member of the male choir, assisting with the building fund and the maintenance of the church. On Wednesday, June 12, 2025, he departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest at his residence.

Those left to cherish his memories are: his mother, Shirlinda Gagum of Hemingway, SC, his stepmother, Jennifer Coles of Hemingway, SC; his companion, Landa Thomas-Taylor of the home, Nesmith, SC; one son, Marquavious Taylor of the home; three godchildren, Paris, Nova and Israel; two brothers, Roger Coles of Naples, FL and Charles Coles (Ebony) of Spartanburg, SC; five sisters, Melissa Coles, Heather Matthews (Torrence), Beverly Lewis-King (Josh) all of Hemingway, SC, Jennifer Harrington (Steve) and Carrie Coles both of Columbia, SC; three aunts, Virginia Wilson, Joyce G.
