Obituary

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid; These are the words of assurance that the Lord has said. Let him be your comfort, let him be your friend, let him walk beside you from beginning to end.

Rodney Lamont Turner, son of the late Vivian Turner and Rodney Kyles was born on January 26, 1978. On Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 4:28 P.M., Rodney entered into eternal rest. Although, Rodney is not with us anymore in the physical sense, he will forever be loved and missed. We will cherish his memories and find comfort in knowing that God will help us through these trying times.

Rodney worked in construction most of his life and loved playing baseball. He continued to work faithfully until his health declined. He was a devoted father and he loved his family.

Rodney was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Turner; his brother, David Turner; two nieces; his grandparents, Otis and Carrie Holloway.

Rodney leaves to cherish his memories and legacy of love: his two sons, Ahmad Turner and Davonte Turner both of Lake City, SC; his two daughters, Paris Turner of Florence, SC and Kanasia Turner of Lake City, SC; two grandchildren, Kayvan Scott and Niyomi Turner both of Lake City, SC; a devoted father, Rodney Kyles of New Haven, CT; one sister, Iesha Kyles of New Haven, CT; one aunt, Carrie McKenzie of Lake City, SC; two nephews whom he loved dearly, Anthony Bostic and Dee; a special thanks to Laura Turner, who was always there when she was needed; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

I have fought the god fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. The pain that you've been feeling can't compare to the joy that's coming.
