With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Robert Beach Sr., 89, of Georgetown, SC, who passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

Life Reflections

Mr. Robert "Junior" Beach Sr. as he was affectionately called, was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Quietly on April 27, 2025 he received his wings, the clouds lifted, and the angels ushered him into the gates of heaven at the age of 89.

Robert was born on November 8, 1935 to the late Hughie and Susan Duncan Beach in Georgetown, South Carolina. Although he grew up during a difficult time, he shared many heartfelt stories. Those experiences helped to shape a fearless and independent man. He was a member of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in the North Santee Community of Georgetown County.

Robert met the love of his life and spouse of 63 years, Elouise Wins Beach in 1959 in Brooklyn, New York and got married on October 11, 1961. Together they raised 5 amazing children in the North Santee Community of Georgetown, SC. Robert was truly a pillar in the community. He worked in many different industries: running Full-Service Gas Stations (Shell and Exxon), joined his late nephew Eugene Collins, Collins Logging Company Team in the pulpwood industry, and Landscaping at South Island Plantation throughout his life before retiring. He had gained many skills that brought knowledge, trust, and talent over the years to everyone around him.

Robert loved his family dearly. He was also predeceased by ten siblings, Silas Beach, Paul Beach, Elizabeth Beach McCall, Marie Ada Beach Boykin Collins, Elliott "Ellie" Beach Sr., Daisy Susan Beach Livingston, Hughie Charlie Beach, Carolyn Beach Hicks, Mary Beach Collins, and Carrie Bell Beach Smith; one son-in-law, Joseph Gamble.

He is survived by: his beautiful and wonderful wife, Elouise Wins Beach; five children, Sherry Beach of Columbia, SC, Rodney Beach, Karen Beach Gamble and Robert Beach Jr., all of Georgetown, SC, and Rochelle Beach of Columbia, SC; six grandchildren, Rodney "Dominique" Beach Jr. (Alex), Shawn Beach (Keri), K'Ontrey Gamble, Queondre Beach, Kennedy Beach and Joseph Jerrod Gamble; two great-grandchildren, Rodney Henry and Wyatt Hayes Beach; three sisters-in-law, Christina Simmons Wins of Georgetown, SC, JoAnna Winns Washington of Los Angeles, CA and Evelyn Washington of Bronx, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and three honorary daughters, Tangenicka Williams, Donna Sims, and Shamaine White.

Special Gratitude to the staff of NHC Lexington in West Columbia, SC and Cresent Hospice in Conway, SC. All of them took very good care of Robert within these last 14 months.

Mr. Robert "Junior" Beach Sr. was truly selfless and treated everyone he met as a friend or a child of his own. Robert was a well-loved member of the community and will never be forgotten.

The family is receiving friends and family at his late residence 511 Harris Landing Road, Georgetown, SC.
