Life Reflections

Richard Shaw entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at MUSC Health, Cades, South Carolina at the age of 52. He was born to Loubertha Shaw and the late John Royster Shaw on January 17, 1973 in Williamsburg County, South Carolina.

Richard was baptized into Christ at New St. Mark Holiness Way of the Cross Church on March 22, 2022.

Richard was united in Holy Matrimony to Schontal Renee West on November 30, 1996. This union was blessed with one daughter, Lauren Renee Shaw.

Richard was formerly employed by Hanna Feed Mill for four years and James Rush Masonry for over 20 years until his heath failed.

He was preceded in death by: his father, John Royster Shaw.

His loving memory will forever be cherished by: his devoted wife, Schontal Renee Shaw and his precious, loving daughter, Lauren Renee Shaw of the home; his mother, Loubertha Shaw of Kingstree, SC; two brothers, John Shaw and Kevin Shaw both of Kingstree, SC; three sisters, Frances Shaw and Quindella Shaw both of Kingstree, SC and Ester (Kenneth) Jones of Savannah, GA;  father-in-law, Jason Brown of Gaskins, SC; three brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Cheryl) West of Columbia, SC, Mack Shaw, Jr. and Michael Shaw both of Kingstree, SC; two sisters-in-law, Latrina Shaw of Kingstree, SC and Felicia (Ricky) Pyatt of Georgetown, SC; aunts, Jannie Bell Mouzon, Lurline Washington, Bertha Washington, Debra McFadden, Mary Lou Washington, Georgia Mae Cunningham, Doris (Rev. Charles) McCrea, Patricia Green and Carrie Brown all of Kingstree, SC, Maria Ragins of Columbia, SC, Joan Mingo of Orangeburg, SC and Cherry B. (Oliver) Porchea of Kingstree, SC; one great grandaunt, Willie Shaw of Kingstree, SC; uncles, Roger Washington of Rochester, NY, Andrea Edwards (Patricia) Shaw of Hollywood, FL and Walter Brown of Kingstree, SC; three special friends, Lee Henryhand, Carnell Kingcade and Leonard Bryant all of Kingstree, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is accepting friends and family from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at 240 Julius Road, Kingstree, SC.
