Life Reflections

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."

2 Timothy 4:7

Richard Cunningham, affectionately called "Rich" was born on June 6, 1926 in the Cedar Swamp Community of Williamsburg County, South Carolina, to the late Walter Cunningham and Janie Pressley. He departed his earthly life on April 4, 2026.

Richard was a hard worker and was employed by Swain Construction Company, where he worked faithfully until his retirement at the age of 62. He was a devoted father and faithful member of Trinity Believers Holiness Church, where he served diligently on the Trustees Board.

Richard was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Odell Singletary and together they shared over 45 years of marriage.

Richard and Odell were blessed with eight children, three of whom preceded them in death, Willis Cunningham, Carl Cunningham and Levern Cunningham.

Loved ones left to cherish his memories forever are: five children,  Harold Cunningham (Mamie), Willow Thornton (Rodrick), Joyce Cunningham, Sindy Charles-Taylor (Harrison), and Anthony Cunningham; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Richard will be remembered for his strong work ethic, dedication to his church, and love for his family.
