Obituary

With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Rhonda Michelle Singleton, 39, of Hartford, CT, who passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Life Reflections

"God is within her, she will not fall. "Psalm 46:5

Rhonda Michelle Singleton, a beloved Sister, Aunty, Relative, and Friend,  was born on April 18, 1986, in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Roger and Loria Singleton (Knowlin). Rhonda was a radiant spirit, always a breath of fresh air to those who knew her.

Rhonda received her early education at Simpson Waverly Elementary, Fox Middle School, and Hartford High School. Never one to give up, Rhonda earned her high school diploma from Hartford Adult Education and went on to receive a Business Administration certificate from Job Corps in Chicopee, Massachusetts.

Rhonda built a profound and meaningful career, first as one of the most beloved school bus drivers, where her kindness and care for children left a lasting mark. In 2018, she was diagnosed with lupus, which later led to advanced renal (kidney) disease. Despite her health challenges, Rhonda remained resilient and dedicated, continuing to work as a compassionate Home Health Aide for Companions and Homemakers before taking time to focus on her health. Turning her journey into a source of inspiration, Rhonda became a social media Mukbanger using her platform to share her love for food while being transparent about her health battles. She empowered others with her authenticity, strength, and faith, often reminding those around her that she was "blessed and highly favored" even after multiple close calls with death.

Rhonda never stopped believing. She fought tirelessly to get on the kidney transplant list, trusting God every step of the way. Her unwavering faith, confidence, and genuine spirit inspired everyone who crossed her path. She was affectionately known as "Sissypooh" to her sister, Latice, "Aunty" to her nieces and nephews, and simply Rhonda or Michelle to those who loved her. Though she is no longer with us on Earth, Rhonda's soul is at peace, and her memory will live on forever.

Rhonda was preceded in death by: her parents, Roger and Loria Singleton; her beloved sister, Lakena E. Singleton; grandparents, Magnolia Knowlin, David Smith, and Mary Singleton (Victor) Campbell; and an uncle, Sam Knowlin.

Rhonda is survived by: her loving sister, Latice W. Singleton; nephews, Malachi Jamal Fable and Felix Royale Tsekpodoe; niece, Julieta Loriann Millet; her godmother, Jahmelia Wilson; three aunts, Julia (Solomon) Wilson, Barbara Knowlin and Patricia (Jimmy) Wilson; two uncles, Stevie (Carol) Knowlin and Tyrone Knowlin; and a host of Godsiblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and cherished friends.

God knew the plans He had for her. Rhonda is no longer suffering — she is resting in eternal peace, surrounded by light and love.
