Obituary

With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Ramona Dawkins Graham, 63, of  Kingstree, SC, who passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Life Reflections

Ramona Dawkins Graham, affectionately known as "Mona," was the fourth of six children born on May 30, 1963, in Williamsburg County, South Carolina, to the late Sarah Ann Ramsey Dawkins and Samuel "Bubba" Dawkins.

In addition to her parents, Ramona was preceded in death by one sister, Janet, and one brother, Curtis.

On Friday, September 25, 2026, the Lord called Ramona from her earthly labor to her eternal reward. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the beautiful memories she created and the love she shared with others will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Ramona was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County and was a proud graduate of Kingstree Senior High School, Class of 1981.

At an early age, Ramona accepted Christ into her life and began a journey of faith that remained an important part of who she was. She loved the Lord and sought to be a blessing to those around her.

Ramona was a dedicated and hardworking woman who took great pride in helping others. In her earlier years, she worked as a Behavioral Specialist at Willow Glen and DSN in Manning and Kingstree, South Carolina, a field she truly loved. She found fulfillment in working with others and making a difference in their lives. She also worked at the Vocational Rehabilitation Center in Kingstree, South Carolina, where she continued to demonstrate her compassion, patience, and willingness to serve.

Ramona walked in the light of the Lord, and everyone who knew her enjoyed being in her presence. She had a special way of making people smile and laugh, even during difficult times. Her warm personality, infectious laughter, kind heart, and genuine love for people made her a joy to be around. She never met a stranger and had a way of making those around her feel welcomed and loved.

"Mona" will be remembered for her loving spirit, her caring heart, her sense of humor, and the countless moments of joy she brought into the lives of others. She touched many lives simply by being herself, and her memory will continue to live on through her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

Though she has completed her earthly journey, her legacy of love, laughter, faith, and kindness will continue to speak for her.

Loved ones left to cherish her memories forever: her husband, Nathaniel Graham of the home; two daughters, Monique (Gregory) Aikens of Moncks Corner, SC and Africa Graham of Charlotte, NC; one son, Samuel Graham of Kingstree, SC; six grandchildren, Kameron Graham and Emmanuel Graham both of Columbia, SC, Olivia Aikens and Naomi Aikens both of Moncks Corner, SC, Asharia St. Rose and Amarre Morris; two sisters, Pearlie Dawkins (Edward) Major of Charlotte, NC and Sharon (Jeffery) Grant of Kingstree, SC; one brother, Clifford (Justine) Dawkins of Morrisville, SC; two sisters-in-love, Margie Dawkins of Greeleyville, SC and Cynthia Graham of Nesmith, SC; one special aunt, Gloria McGraw; one special uncle, Solomon Ramsey; two special cackling nieces, Ebony (Amanda) Dawkins of Stockbridge, GA and Yarra Major of Charlotte, NC; a host of additional nieces and nephews and the very special class of 1981 that she loved oh so very much.

The family will begin receiving friends and family on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 916 Wilkerson Street, Kingstree, SC.
