Quincy L.
Brown
Mar 9, 1980 — Aug 29, 2026
With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Quincy L. Brown, 46, who passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
Obituary
Quincy Lamond Brown entered this world on May 9, 1980, born to Eartha Ham and Kenneth Ham. On Saturday, August 29, 2026, Quincy departed this earthly life, leaving behind a family and community who will forever cherish his life, love and memory.
Quincy was educated in the public schools of Clarendon County, where he spent his formative years. As he entered adulthood, Quincy developed a strong work ethic and built a career as a contractor in North Carolina. He was a hardworking man who took pride in his work and in providing for those he loved.
Above all, Quincy was a son, father, brother, uncle, companion and friend. One of the greatest blessings of his life was his son, Quincy Lamont Brown, Jr. The love between a father and son creates a bond that reaches far beyond this earthly life, and the memories they shared will remain a lasting part of Quincy's legacy.
Quincy's loved for family extended far beyond titles. He held a special place in the lives of his nephews, Jessie Cave, Herman Cave, Jr., Marques Webb, Xavier Webb, Tray Brown Jahvick Brown and D'Moni Smith, and his niece, Dominique Cave. Quincy helped raise them and loved and cared for them as if they were his own children. He was more than an uncle to them--he was a father figure, protector, teacher, supporter and constant presence in their lives. The lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the memories they created together will forever remain in their hearts.
Quincy also shared a special relationship with his special friend, Shonda Jackson, whose companionship was an important part of his life. He was also blessed with a special bond with his godsister, Kimberly Davis of Charlotte, North Carolina, whose love and friendship were deeply cherished.
Quincy was preceded in death by: his brother, Michael Roberts and his beloved grandmother, Annie Mae Cave. Though they left this life before him, the family finds comfort in remembering the love and memories they shared.
He leaves to cherish his memory: the nieces and nephews whom he loved so dearly and helped raise as his own, Jessie Cave, Herman Cave, Jr., Marques Webb, Xavier Webb, Tray Brown, Jahvick Brown, D'Moni Smith and Dominique Cave; along with a host of other loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Although Quincy's earthly journey ended far sooner than those who loved him would have wished, the measure of a life is not found simply in the number of years lived, but in the lives he touched, the love given and the memories left.
His voice may now be silent, and his familiar presence will be deeply missed, but Quincy Lamont Brown will continue to live through his son, the nieces and nephews he help raise, his family and every heart that was blessed to know and love him.
May his life forever be remembered, his memories forever cherished and his legacy forever lives on.
