Obituary

With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Patricia Ann Tisdale, 64, of Georgetown, SC, who passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026.

Life Reflections

On September 20, 1961 in Georgetown, South Carolina, Janie Anderson McCray and the late Paul W. McCray were blessed with the birth of their first born child, a beautiful baby girl, Patricia Ann McCray. She was the granddaughter of Reverend Eddie Anderson, Sr. and Catherine Anderson and James McCray and Emma Pressley McCray.

With hearts full of gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we celebrate the home going of Patricia Ann McCray Tisdale, affectionately known as "Tricia" who departed this life on April 10, 2026 at the age of 64. Tricia was a resident of Gravestation in Georgetown, South Carolina-a place she called home and filled with her warmth and gentle spirit.

Patricia attended elementary and high school in Georgetown, South Carolina, graduating from Howard High School. She was married to Lawrence Tisdale for 14 years.

Tricia was at her core a kind and sweet soul. She had a gift for loving people well and it was evident in her deep devotion to her family. She poured herself into those she loved and her legacy will continue to live on through every life she touched.

Over the course of her career, Tricia dedicated her professional life to her community, working for AVX Corporation and later retiring with Georgetown County School District. She was a woman of purpose who showed up with grace in every role she filled.

Tricia leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved mother, Janie A. McCray; her four children, Michael Lamont McCray, Theresa Y. McCray, Juanita Monique Grant, Jason Leroy Grant, (Chenille) and Shavonta Tisdale; nine grandchildren, Ke'Era McCray, Shamiya Pringle, Saniya McCray, MyKella McCray, Desmond McCray, K'Nya Greene, J'Lynn Linen, Summer Linen, and Siara Grant; a great-grandchild expected to arrive September 2026, a precious new life that will carry her love forward. She is also survived by: her sisters, Polly A. McCray, and Donna M. Poole (Randy) and a brother, Wayne D. McCray (Brenda). She is preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Allen McCray, Sr.

Tricia, you were one of a kind. Your kindness was a gift, your love was a shelter, and your memory is a treasure we will carry always.

Fly high Tricia- Your work here was done beautifully.
