With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Oralee S. Dingle, 95, of St. Stephen, SC, who passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Trident Medical Center, Moncks Corner, SC.

Life Reflections

Oralee Seaward Dingle was born May 19, 1929 in Andrews, South Carolina.

The family moved to St. Stephen when she was a little girl. She attended St. Stephen School. She later married Francis Dingle of St. Stephen.

Oralee was a longtime member of Calvary Reformed Episcopal Church in the Swamp Fox Community of St. Stephen, SC.

Oralee was preceded in death by: her parents, John and Elvina Seaward; husband, Francis Dingle; two daughters, Martha Williams and Sanora Rosalee Dingle; four brothers, Henry Seaward, Frank John Seaward, Reverend Robert Lee Seaward and Reverend Dr. Rembert Seaward; four sisters, Onetha Brown, Dorothy Reid Ladson, Iva Lee Smalls and Luttie Alston Ham; two granddaughters, Monica Yakanoa Gadsden and Regina McCray; son-in-law, Harold Robert Gadsden; daughter-in-law, Laverne Dingle; grandson, Andre Keith Dingle and granddaughter, Kyleia McDaniel.

She will be cherished by: her remaining children, Eugene Dingle of St. Stephen, SC, Evelyn D. Gadsden of Felton, DE, Rickey J. Dingle and Loretta McDaniel both of St. Stephen, SC; thirty nine grandchildren; thirty five great grands; her siblings; one sister, Lydia Sumpter of Jersey City, NJ; four brothers, Joe (Georgiana) Seaward of Jamaica Queens, NY, Danzie (Mary) Seaward of Landover, MD, Jack (Deloris) Seaward of Capital Heights, MD and Willie (Mattie) Seaward of Washington, DC; sisters-in-law, Geneva Seaward of Washington, DC, Mary Beth Seaward of Terre Haute, IN, Bessie (Willie) Felder of Roanoke Rapids, VA, Tiny Dingle  and Emma (Kenneth) Sumter both of St. Stephen, SC; brother-in-law, Jessie (Lorraine) Dingle of St. Stephen, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
