With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Ollie Kingwood, 84, of Alcolu, SC, husband of Camilla Kingwood, who passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Life Reflections
Ollie Kingwood Jr., affectionately known as "Tuna" or Tuwa", was born on December 20, 1940, to the late Ollie Sr and Elnather Kingwood. They both were from Alcolu, South Carolina. On November 7, 2025, God in His infinite peace and grace sent an angel to bring Ollie home to eternal rest with the Lord.
Ollie received his education in the Clarendon County School System, where he grew up surrounded by family, friends, and the community that shaped him. Ollie relocated to Connecticut, where he worked in several different fields. Ollie was known to have a toothpick in his mouth and it was a must that he watched his "Mets". He would tell you a story for every occasion. Ollie cherished his family deeply.
Ollie was preceded in death by: his parents; his sisters, Minnie Lue Peterson (Samuel), Marol Lee Harvin (Davis) and Annie L. Mack (George) and one daughter, Deborah Service.
Ollie leaves to cherish his life and hold his memories close: his loving and devoted wife, Camilla Kingwood of the home; his six sons, Tyrone Kingwood of Bridgeport, CT, Theodore Kingwood of Orangeburg, SC, Carl Dobson of Alcolu, SC, James Hunter of Bridgeport, CT, Dwight Franklin of SC and Micheal Franklin of Bridgeport, CT; his five daughters, Janice Hendricks of Bridgeport, CT, Lashanda Franklin of Alcolu, SC, Dianne Kingwood of Sumter, SC, Sally Kingwood of Staten Island, NY and Lawanda White of Bridgeport, CT; along with a host of grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and devoted friends.
The family will be receiving friends and family at 1482 Goward Road, Alcolu, SC.
All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of Kingstree, SC. 843-354-2292.
