Life Reflections
On a sunny Sunday afternoon, June 15th, 2025, our Heavenly Father stepped into His garden and sweetly picked a beautiful flower named Nettie and took her home
Nettie Bell Rush White was born on January 31, 1947 to the late Annie Rush and was lovingly raised by her grandparents, the late George and Ilar Rush who raised her as their own daughter.
Nettie was a graduate of St. Mark High School in Williamsburg County in 1969. She received Christ as her Lord and Savior, and was a faithful member of Starlight Holiness Church #2.
Nettie was a beloved pillar to the Andrews/Bloomingvale Community, where she helped raise many families through her dedicated work as a caregiver. Her nurturing spirit touched the lives of countless children and families. Nettie was also pivotal in the lives of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Her wisdom, humor and unwavering support made her a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her. In addition to her love for caregiving, Nettie found great joy in gardening. A passion that was beautifully reflected in the vibrant flowers and lush greenery that surrounded her home. She also took great pride in keeping her home immaculate! They say, cleanliness is next to godliness, and there's no doubt that Nettie is exactly where she belongs.
Nettie was also a devoted employee of Spring Maid Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC, where she worked faithfully for 38 years before retiring.
Nettie was preceded in death by her eight sisters and three brothers.
Nettie leaves to cherish all she lovingly helped raise in the home; her nephews, Corey Rush of Andrews, SC, Kevin Rush (Bridgette) of Baltimore, MD, Terry Rush (Tarsha) of Washington, DC and Terrence Rush of Florence, SC; niece, Karen Rush Wilson (Jamie) of Andrews, SC; one brother, John (Carrie) Easterling of Hartford, CT; special friends, Catherine Dennison-Ford, Tansy Pope and Joyce Hooks Brown; goddaughter, Marlena Wilson of Florence, SC; along with a host of additional nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
