With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Mickel Eugene Wiggins, 64, of Andrews, SC, husband of Myria Wiggins, who passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026.
Life Reflections
Mickel Eugene Wiggins was born January 19, 1962 to Eugene and Vermont Wiggins in Queens, New York.
Mickel attended P.S. 62 Elementary School at an early age. At the age of ten, he moved from New York to South Carolina to live with his grandparents, Leroy and Neta McCown. He attended St. Mark High School, where he graduated from.
Mickel was united in Holy Matrimony to Myria Stevette Morris for thirty-three years. From their union came two sons.
Mickel worked many years as a long distance Truck Driver, driving coast to coast. He later decided to be more of a family man, so he decided to end his career as a truck driver and began working at the Wire Plant, as a machine operator. He also worked at Tupperware USA, as a truck spotter. His love for trucking never faded, he began working with Stone Construction, driving trucks until his health starting to decline.
Mickel was preceded in death by: his parents, Eugene and Vermont Wiggins; his still born son, Michael Onay; his grandfather, Leroy McCown; Juanita Jenkins McCown; two uncles, Lawrence McCown and John Tracy; two aunts, Claudell and Cotel.
Mickel leaves behind to cherish his everlasting memories; his loving wife, Myria Wiggins; his son, Michael Wiggins, Jr.; one stepson, Hakim Morris; one sister, Barbara (Larry); one brother, Bernard; a special nephew reared as his own, James Shaunovan Pressley, who taught him how to make his special secret recipes; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of Andrews, SC. 843-354-2292.
