Kingstree

Life Reflections
"Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:3,4)
Mary Elizabeth Pressley, 74, of Kingstree, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, after enduring a battle with a long-term illness. Mary fought a good fight while maintaining a strong faith in Jehovah. Mary was born in Kingstree, South Carolina on November 7, 1950, the middle child of three children to the late Bobby Pressley, Sr. and Rosa Lee Ward Pressley. She was raised in Kingstree, SC.
Mary was a 1968 graduate of Tomlinson High School and went on to become an Elementary school teacher with the Williamsburg County School District for 30 years. Mary attended Morris College to receive her Bachelor's degree in education. She attended South Carolina State University to also receive her master's degree. Mary spent her entire career working for the Kingstree Elementary School as a 4th Grade Teacher and Instructor, where with love, she shaped and molded the minds of many bright students.
Mary was also married briefly in her younger years. Known for her kind, generous, spirited personality, and vast intellect, Mary throughout her years of life, had a love for serving Jehovah, traveling, cooking, shopping, and visiting friends & family. She also enjoyed sharing spiritual truths with family, friends, and neighbors within her community.
Mary leaves to cherish loving memories of her: daughter-like nieces whom she raised, Eulanda P. Smith and Lisa Pressley; her loving grandnieces, Arcieri McFadden, De 'Chante Walton and Eyota Bey; Greg Smith, whom she considered as a loving and caring son-in-law. Mary was predeceased by: her brother, Bobby Pressley Jr.; her loving sister, Brenda Pressley Rabenold; her loving nephews, Bobby K. Pressley and Randy J. McFadden (both considered her a second mother). Mary leaves a host of other close and loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
