Mary was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County and graduated from Russellville High School in 1957. After she graduated Mary attended Business School in Florida.
Mary moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1959 to begin her career in banking and finance. Mary worked with several banks in the greater New York area working her way up the ladder. She started in the mail room and worked her way up to Vice President over her 30+ year career.
Mary was a devoted woman of God and a faithful member of Hudson Temple COGIC in Brooklyn, New York where she lent her talents to the Mass Choir.
Mary, in the early 1990s, relocated to Lithonia, Georgia to be closer to her son and grandsons.
