Life Reflections

Marion Watson, Jr; (affectionately known to some as McKinley) was born in Georgetown, South Carolina on November 11, 1939 to the late Marion Watson and Sarah Holmes Watson. Marion was the last surviving child from their union. Marion transitioned on Friday, September 20, 2024, after a brief decline in his health.

Marion received his education in the public school system of Georgetown, South Carolina, shortly after, he moved to New York, working in the furniture industry until he retired. Marion was a hard-working man, recognized for his commitment to work, as a man who never missed a day of work.

Marion, met and married Carmen Brown in New York, their union blessed them with two children, Kenneth and Michelle Watson. His union, also blessed him with three stepchildren, Katherine Hawkins, Antoinette Hart (deceased) and Enoch Hart, Jr., whom he loved dearly.

Marion enjoyed doing his crossword puzzles, watching westerns, games shows and sports (especially baseball & football). He loved music and enjoyed family gatherings, playing Pokeno, Spades and Bidwiz. Marion was a low key handy man who could fix up a broken television or radio, to make it work again.
