Life Reflections
Maria Annette Hall, affectionately known as "Netta," passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at the age of 50. She was born on June 14, 1974 in Newark, New Jersey, and was a lifelong resident of Pineville, South Carolina. Maria was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose passion for music and love for her family touched everyone she knew.
A graduate of St. Stephen High School, Class of 1993. Maria's love for music began in her early years. Whether in church or school, her hand would go up, and she'd start to rap or sing whenever the beat dropped. Known for her infectious laughter and zest for life, she brought joy to every room she entered. Maria was a dedicated member of Greenland Baptist Church, where she found peace and solace in her faith. She faced many trials but always knew she was surrounded by the unwavering love and support of her family and friends.
Maria leaves behind her loving children, Crystal Hall, Jermaine Hall-Spann Jr., and Jerinasia Spann. She was a proud grandmother to her cherished grandchildren: E'Maurii, Cemir, Juelz, and Lauryn, who were her greatest joys in life.
Preceded in death by her devoted parents, Samuel and Marie Hall, Maria is survived by her siblings, George (Leah) Ramsey of Wesley Chapel, FL, Evette (Arnold) Simmons of Charleston, SC, Kenyarda (Martin) Jenkins of Pineville, SC, Sharon (Glenn) Mincey, Sandra Blocker, and Denise Tutt. She was also loved by her nieces and nephews, Tiffanie, Kendall, Clifford, Jerome, Lakiya, Tanaya, Shamar, Isaiah, Rashawn, and Julius. Maria is reunited in Heaven with her siblings, Julius Ramsey and Brenda Powell.
Her family extends their deepest gratitude to the caregivers, doctors, nursing staff, and true friends who stood by Maria's side during her 28-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) illness.
The family will be receiving friends and family at 147 Tanaya Lane, Pineville, SC.
All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of St. Stephen, SC. 843-354-2292.
