With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Luther Lewis, 70, of Hemingway, SC, who passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at MUSC, Florence, SC.

Life Reflections

Mr. Luther Lewis, son of the late Myers Lewis, Jr. and Beulah Pressley Lewis was born on November 14, 1953, in Andrews, South Carolina. He departed his earthly life on Thursday, November 7, 2024 in Florence, SC.

Luther attended the public schools of Williamsburg County, South Carolina.

He was a dedicated Machine Operator and retired from Wellman Industries, Johnsonville, South Carolina.

Later in life Luther accepted Christ and joined Nesmith Way of the Cross Church. He also attended Victory In Praise under the leadership of Apostle Michael Ripley.

Luther enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved watching football, especially the 49ers and the New England Patriots. Luther was loved by many and will truly be missed.

Luther was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lewis.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Creola Lewis of Hemingway, SC; four sons, Shawn Lewis (Shantae) of Columbia, SC, Luther Lewis, Jr. (Jennifer) of Concord, NC, Kendrick Mitchum (Shontasia) of Andrews, SC and Terry Palmer of Kingstree, SC; three daughters, Shanquia Nichols, Felecia Lewis both of Raleigh, NC and Latoya Lewis of Johnsonville, SC; two step-daughters, Timekia Smith (Dracy) of Hemingway, SC and Dominique Davis of Palm Bay, FL; one step-son, Kachen Davis (Brandie) of Palm Bay, FL; twenty-four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn Lewis of Andrews, SC; one brother, Rene Lewis of Andrews, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
