Lucille Rose was born on January 12, 1929 to the late Heyward and Lugenia Rose. She peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on May 10, 2026, after being blessed with ninety-seven beautiful years of life.

She moved from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Lake City, South Carolina in the late 1970's. Lucille worked many years at T.S. Ragsdale Tobacco Company in Lake City, SC. In later years she became the caregiver for her niece, Rosa Lee James and her older brother, AJ "Cuda" Rose.

Lucille was a loving and practical aunt. Although she never had biological children of her own, she lavish her love on her special grand nephew, Timotheus Elijah Hemingway. He along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends will miss her dearly.

In her later years she was cared for by her nephew and his lovely wife, Jimmy Lee and Jennette Rose. Her last days were spent resting comfortably at Lake City Scranton Healthcare Center in Scranton, South Carolina.
