With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Linda B. Jones, 74, of Lake City, SC, wife of Ernest Jones, who passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

Life Reflections

Linda B. Jones was born on September 27, 1949 to the late Lottie Miller Burgess and Alphonso Rembert. She departed this earthly life on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

She received her formal education from Carver High School, Class of 1968 in Lake City, South Carolina.

Linda worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for seventeen years at Southland Nursing Facility, formerly known as Commander Nursing Facility in Florence, South Carolina.

She was united fifty-one years in Holy Matrimony to Ernest H. Jones. To this union, they were blessed with two children.

Linda was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Kingstree, South Carolina.

Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Francina Gaskins, brother, Lee "Sonny Jr." Roger Burgess and aunt, Creola Adams.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Ernest Jones of Lake City, SC; one daughter, Natashia Jones of Lake City, SC; one son, Cheney (Tina) Jones of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren, Cameron Rogers and Raven Rogers both of Florence, SC, Brittany Jones of Lake City, SC, Cheniya Jones, Cheyla Jones, Terra Breaux and Sean Breaux all of Atlanta, GA;  two sisters, Barbara (Terry) McClam of Florence, SC and Geraldine Williams of Johnsonville, SC; three brothers, Jimmy (Uli) Burgess and Carl (Yolanda) Brown both of Atlanta, GA and Talik McFadden of Florence, SC; one aunt, Annette Thomas of Bishopville, SC; one son-in-law, Preston Rogers of Florence, SC; one niece, Nikita Kennedy of Charlotte, NC; four sisters-in-law, Ruby (John) Wallace of Hemingway, SC, Debra (David) Brown and Betty Thomas both of Lake City, SC and Helen (Nate) Warren of Hialeah, FL; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
