Life Reflections

Leola Ann Gamble-Legette, the daughter of LeSandra Gamble-Stafford and the late Levy Gamble, Sr., was born on March 22, 1977 in Georgetown, South Carolina. On Friday, January 16, 2026, she transitioned into eternal rest at her home under hospice care surrounded by her loved ones. Leola was educated in the public schools of Georgetown County. She was so gifted and talented that she graduated early from Howard Adult School where she received her diploma in 1994. Leola attended Miller Motte and got her certificate as an Aesthetician. She also did online school at Ashford University and received her Associate's in Business Administration. She was a jack of all trades and worked numerous jobs such as a CNA, caregiver, and was an aide at a daycare.

Leola had a dream to open a shop one day and start services such as make-up and yoni steaming, but due to her health declining in 2018 plans changed.

Leola was united in Holy Matrimony to Eric Legette. Leola was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and dear friend. She enjoyed couponing, shopping, reading, and spending time with her family. Leola's spirit could touch the soul of many people. To know Leola was to love her. Her smile could light up a room and she never met a stranger. She was a dedicated mother and would go above and beyond for her children. Leola was a true "Diva". She loved fashion, jewelry, keeping her nails and hair done. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Leola was preceded in death by her father, Levy Gamble, Sr.

Leola leaves to cherish her precious memories; her loving husband, Eric Legette of the home; twin daughters, Ni'Asha Dorsey and Ni'Esha Dorsey; two sons, Zion Heyward and Zaire Shaw; five grandchildren, Aubriél Dorsey, Brayden Williams, Wynter Tisdale, A'Mir Williams, and Skylar Tisdale; her mother, LeSandra Gamble-Stafford; one brother, Levy (Wonda) Gamble Jr; one sister, Cassandra Gamble; nieces, Akilah and Aleah Gamble; nephews, Daquan Gamble and Kristopher Williams; two special sons-in-law, Jamarr Williams and Davenick Tisdale; one sister-in-law, Ciara White; one brother-in-law, Trayvon Tisdale; special brothers, Jaraus Heyward (Bridgette) and Broderick Heyward (Harriett); special sisters, Sandrell Nesmith, Tamala Smalls and Shonell McBride; special nieces, Destiny Lewis, Kira Nesmith, Sakiya Nesmith and Nyla Lewis; special nephews, Dominique McBride, Kymerre Pushia, Kadyn Pushia, Tylik Shaw, Makhari Shaw and Carter Mitchell; a loving and special friend, Koe-Yanna Pushia of over 40+ years; along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

The family is receiving friends and family at 1180 Pepperhill Road, Andrews, SC.
