Life Reflections

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course,

I have kept the faith."~ II Timothy 4:7~

Lenon James McDuffie, the beloved son of the late Moses McDuffie and Easter Mae Servance was born on August 5, 1940, in Manning, South Carolina. He entered eternal rest on January 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and family that spans generations.

He was united in marriage to his devoted wife, Johnnie Kate McDuffie, with whom he built a life centered on God, hard work, and family.

A faithful servant of God, Lenon served as a church Deacon and lived his life anchored in the Word. The first words anyone would hear from him were always, "Praise the Lord," and he meant it with every breath. He found peace in gardening, fishing with his grandson Adam, gospel music, and being outdoors, where he felt closest to God. His hands were always busy, his heart always full, and his spirit always gentle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Lula E. McDuffie and Linda McDuffie.

Lenon was the proud father to: Jacquelyn E. Mays, Joyce A. Martin (Hasan), Priscilla J. Hawkins (Tim), Lecole K. Hampton (Justin), Abigail L. McDuffie, Patricia A. McDuffie, Leon McDuffie Jr., and Tyrone McDuffie. He was the cherished grandfather to a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind seven brother and sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives. and dear friends.

His family was his crown, and his greatest joy was watching it grow.

Lenon's life was a living testimony of faith, resilience, and unconditional love. Though he is no longer with us in body, his voice, wisdom, and laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
