Jun 26, 1976 — Jan 4, 2026
Cades
With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Lenard Bryan Adams, 49, of Cades, SC, who passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Lenard Bryan Adams
Revelation 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write this down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work; for their good deeds follow them!"
Philippians 21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! 23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far…"
Surrounded by God's promise of eternal life, our beloved Lenard Bryan Adams peacefully passed from this world on Sunday, January 4th, 2026, to dwell forever with the Lord. Having fought the good fight and finished his course, Bryan answered the Master's call and entered eternal rest.
Bryan was born on June, 26, 1976 in Kingstree, SC to Diane Adams and the late Preston Adams.
Bryan was known affectionately as "Boochie" by his friends and family, and "Come Along" by his trucking friends and family. He will always be remembered in our hearts as a loving father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and trucker.
Bryan accepted Christ in his life at an early age and rededicated his life to Christ in the weeks before his passing. He had a loving, generous, and kind spirit throughout his life. He had a heart for people and cared deeply for his family and close friends. He also had a special gift for connecting with children being evidenced in his love for his granddaughter and niece.
Bryan received his formal education in the public schools of Williamsburg County and attended Kingstree High School. After leaving high school, he took up truck driving with his father. He spent countless hours on the road together with his Dad learning how to become an awesome driver. After many years of driving, he started his own company, LBA Freightways, and continued to do what he loved the most. He spent years traveling up and down East Coast USA hauling produce for America's dinner tables. He absolutely loved being a trucker. He took a lot of pride in his profession and was a master at his craft.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories: a loving daughter, Shadee (Jawan) Dubose of Florence, SC; a precious granddaughter, Summer Dubose of Florence, SC; his loving mother, Diane Adams of Cades, SC; a special friend, Latasha Green of Lake City, SC; four loving sisters, Angelisa Simmons of Charleston, SC, Janice McFadden of Gable, SC, Karen Jones of Dania Beach, FL and Deona (Damien) Adams-Leslie of Florence, SC; two loving brothers, Carlos Adams of Columbia, SC and Wesley Pressley of Kingstree, SC; one special niece, Zuri Cooper of Florence, SC; one paternal aunt, Celestine (Carl) Scott of St Stephen, SC; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family is receiving friends and family at 1112 Patty Road, Cades, SC.
All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of Lake City, SC. 843-354-2292 .
