Life Reflections

"In The Beginning"

Larry Roosevelt Scott was born May 15, 1958. He was born to the late Roosevelt Scott and Bessie Myers McDonald. He was called from labor to reward on Monday, October 13, 2025, at his residence. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Brenda Lee.

"Journey to Excellence"

"Big Daddy" received his formal education in the public schools of Williamsburg County. He was a graduate of St. Mark High School, Class of 1977. Larry was an awesome sports player; he wore the number "70" proudly. He played offense and defense in football and forward in basketball. Larry had numerous jobs, for years he worked at his Alma Mater. St. Mark High School, as a custodian. He later transitioned into construction work with Rush Masonry. He finished his employment at Browns Barbeque until he decided to go into business for himself with his very own shop, Larry's. Larry's shop became a light house for family and the community where he welcomed everyone with that bright smile.

"Seeds of Commitment"

Larry was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where he also served on the Male Choir. He was a proud member of the St. Mark Mens Club, where they gave back and fed the community. Larry enjoyed watching wrestling, westerns, Lifetime movies and football. His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys.
