Life Reflections

God gifted the McCullough, Carolina and Limehouse Families on August 30, 2006 with the birth of Kenston J. Carolina, Jr.

Born to Erica McCullough and the late Kenston J. Carolina, Sr." KJ" was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend and a recent graduate of Kingstree High School (Class of 2025).

He had plans to enter the workforce and build upon his dreams. On Thursday, June 12, 2025, Kenston J. Carolina Jr., exchanged earthy life for eternal rest.

KJ was known for his kind heart, love and appreciation toward family. He never left his family's presence, without a sincere "luv you'. KJ adored and cherished his family. He enthusiastically delved into family history and especially his late father's life and legacy. He proudly wore the jacket and sweatshirt that were previously owned by his late father.

As an infant, he was christened at Evangelistic Temple Way of the Cross Church, Kingstree, SC. He was very fond of the song, 'When Jesus Says Yes, Nobody Can Say No', a testament to his recent accomplishments.  In his youth, KJ was active in sports and was an honor student.

KJ left a lasting impression on his classmates, family and friends. He was doted on, loved and celebrated. He had a very mature sense of gratitude and never overlooked the 'little' things in life. He enjoyed calling his aunties up to request a special meal, reminding his grandmother of the biscuits she'd make for him and marveling over the special stole his mother had made for his graduation day.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Kenston J. Carolina, Sr.; his maternal grandparent, James Edward (Peggy) McCullough; maternal great grandmother, Marie Liner; paternal great grandfather, Samuel Limehouse.

Kenston is survived by: his loving mother, Erica McCullough of the home; brother, Generio Jones; grandparents, Gwendolyn Limehouse and Bishop Kenneth Carolina; great grandmother, Frances Limehouse; devoted aunts, Andrea (Anthony) Davis, Tonya  (Jason) Joe, LaKeesha Williams, Veronica McCray, Ebony (Otis) Franklin, Ivory Carolina, Chassidy Carolina, Ikea (Brandon) Mclean, and Claudia Mosley; grandaunts, Joann (Randy) Hugee, Lynette (Richard) Nelson, Patresa (Cubit) Singletary, Yolanda (Enoch) Gantlin, Charlene Scott, Christine McCray and Amy (Frank) Childs, Timmy (Theresa) Franklin, Anthony McKnight, and Michael McKnight; additional aunts and uncles; granduncle, Samuel Newell and Frank Wilson; godparents, Crystal Gore, Keith Nelson, Derrick Harrison, and Jaime Linder; a special aunt Joann Hugee; a special cousin, Quantea Scott; three special "brothers", Direlle McGee, LaTarian Brown and Jamel Brayboy; a special friend, Shyannah Oliver, as well as many other loved ones, cousins, family and friends.

KJ's light shone brightly and will continue to shine in the hearts of those he touched. He will never be forgotten!
