Life Reflections

Ms. Katie Mae McFadden, daughter of Annie M. Knight and Bobbie Knight was born on December 30, 1944 in Florence County, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by both parents; five brothers, Joe Lewis McFadden, Junior McFadden, Leroy McFadden, Levern McFadden and James McFadden; one sister, Elizabeth Hickson and a son, Barry McFadden. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

Katie attended school in Florence County.

Ms. Katie Mae was a very sociable lady. She had a very fun and tell it like it was personality. Ms. Katie Mae was loved by everyone who knew her. She only had two biological children, but was a mother to many. She will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Loved ones left behind: her son, Shantell McFadden (Alisia) of Florence, SC; four grandchildren, Destinee McFadden, Journee McFadden, Quest McFadden and Chance McFadden all of Florence, SC; a special grandson, Nathan Battle of Kingstree, SC; two sisters, Valerie Knight of Kingstree, SC and Nancy Pearson of Turbeville, SC; two brothers, Joe Singletary of Darlington, SC and Jacob Wheeler of Olanta, SC; a special nephew, Wesley Hickson of St. Louis, MO; one sister-in-law, Mary McFadden of Olanta, SC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
