Life Reflections

Karen Denise Ward Green, was born on August 12, 1972, in Florida to Mary Stubbs and Arthur Ward. She was a woman whose greatest joy in life was her family. She possessed a heart full of unconditional love, compassion, and kindness, and she never hesitated to encourage those around her. Her smile could brighten a room, and her laughter was contagious. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

Karen attended Job Corps, and graduated where she continued developing the hardworking spirit that would define her throughout her life. She believed in working hard, caring for those she loved, and always doing her best regardless of life's challenges. Above everything else, Karen treasured her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her family meant everything to her, and every sacrifice she made was done out of love. Her strength, guidance, words of encouragement, and unwavering support will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Karen was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Robin Canty.

Karen leaves to cherish her precious memory: her loving husband, Darrel Green; her beloved children, Megan Jackson, Devante Fulmore, Charles McLeod, and Damarion Green; her treasured grandchildren, Keniyah Maxwell, David "DJ" Jackson, Sa'Veah Jackson, and Coast Fulmore; her mother, Mary Stubbs; her father, Arthur Ward; her siblings, Gregory Canty and Annastia Johnson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through each of us. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, strength, perseverance, and unwavering devotion to family. While she may no longer walk beside us, she will forever remain in our hearts.
