With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Julia Bell Green, 81, of Hemingway, SC, wife of Terry, Carroll, who passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

Life Reflections

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4

Julia Bell Wilson-Green was born on March 7, 1945, in Williamsburg County, South Carolina, to the late Doward Wilson and Ethel Wilson. She was blessed to have nine sisters and one brother.

Julia was called home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2026, at the age of 81, at the Sentara Hospital Center in Hampton, Virginia.

Julia graduated from Battery Park High School in Nesmith, South Carolina. She continued her education in the state of New York and worked as an EKG Technician for many years.

In her spare time, Julia enjoyed traveling and exploring new places.

In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by: two sisters, Mary Harrington (John) and Ruth Bowens (Jimmy).

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband and best friend of twenty-six years, Terry Carroll. She was blessed with two children, Vanessa Grimes-Smith and the late Gifford Grimes who pass from this life on May 4, 2026. She was also blessed with: two grandsons; seven sisters; one niece, two nephews, five brothers-in-law, and three sisters-in-law; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Though she has departed from this earthly life, her legacy of love, generosity, strength, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Sleep on Julia, take your rest. I love you, God loves you.
