Life Reflections
"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1
Joseph Brayboy, son of the late Harry Brayboy and Letha Brayboy, was born on February 11, 1960.
Two sisters, Gladys King and Irene Kystel, preceded him in death.
Joe attended the public schools of Lake City, South Carolina.
He was a dedicated husband, father, uncle and friend. He loved all things outside. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family. There wasn't a time you wouldn't find him repairing a machine, taking care of someone's lawn or just helping someone.
Joe was a member of New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, where he enjoyed serving as an usher and working on the church anniversary committee.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mary Brayboy on May 16, 2002. Joseph will truly be missed.
On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, Joseph Brayboy departed this earthly life at MUSC Black River Medical Center in Cades, South Carolina.
Those left to cherish his memories are: his devoted wife of the home, Mary Verner Brayboy; one daughter, Kaneska Scott of Florida; one stepson, Daniel (Nicole) Verner of Scranton, SC; two stepdaughters, Liza Williams and Julia Williams both of Sumter, SC; one brother, Joey (Angie) Brayboy of Lake City, SC; three sisters, Betty (Willie G.) Thomas of Cades, SC, Harry Lee Spates of Lake City, SC and Patty Ann (Gerald) Hall of Florence, SC; a special aunt, Rozena Graham; a special uncle, Junior (Annie Mae) Brayboy both of Lake City, SC; four grandchildren, Danierian, Tremaine, Taila and Everianna; three sisters-in-law, Joyce (Joe) Rogers, Josie (Pete) Gagum and Joyce Verner all of Hemingway, SC; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
