Life Reflections
John (JK) Albert Kennedy, the son of the late Luther Kennedy and Rebecca Rivers Kennedy, was born August 23, 1960 in New Zion, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers, Loretta Kennedy, Alvin Kennedy and Charles Kennedy.
At an early age he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined Melina Presbyterian Church. He started work at Johnson's Farm and later he gave several years at Justice Family Farm of Gable, SC. He was later employed with Maxcy Hicks & Son Construction of New Zion, SC where he worked for over 30 years. "JK" was a hardworking, loving, kind, gentle, and cheerful man. His warm smile won a place in the hearts of those who knew him. If the saying, "cleanliness is next to godliness" is true - JK would easily rank as one of the godliest people, we have ever known.
On Thursday, January 2, 2025 at MUSC, Florence, SC, God called his gift to humanity.
Those left to cherish his loving and precious memories: his two daughters, Deandria Cooper of Sumter, SC and Tyneisha McFadden of Alcolu, SC; four brothers, Robert Kennedy of Columbia, SC, Eugene (Leola) Kennedy of New Zion, SC, Wilbert Kennedy of Paxville, SC and David (Wandra) Kennedy of Dalzell, SC; six sisters, Geneva Scarborough, Rebecca Kennedy, Katherine (Ervin) McFadden all of Manning, SC, Barbara (Mike) Burgess of NC, Suzette Kennedy of Dalzell, SC and Marthann Quickley of Turbeville, SC; three aunts, Daisy McFadden of Sumter, SC, Margie Rufus and Fannie Long both of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren, Zaria Jackson, Ty'Caden and Ty Zaden McFadden; a special close cousin, Patricia Cooper; a special friend Linda Felder; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving friends and family at 1362 Renegade Trail, New Zion, SC.
All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of Kingstree, SC. 843-354-2292.
