A Journey Begins

Joestine "Joe" Pressley departed his earthly life on Wednesday morning, April 16, 2025, at Dr. Ronald E. McNair Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lake City, South Carolina. Joestine "Joe" Pressley, son of the late Cloia Fulton and John Wesley Pressley was born on September 18, 1951, in Williamsburg County where he attended the public school system.

Joe attended Job Corps in the 1970s and earned certification as automotive mechanic. He could fix a car with ease! A hard worker and multi-talented, Joe matriculated to Florida worked for a while and then returned to South Carolina. He held various jobs picking fruits and vegetables, fixing cars, working at Auddie Brown Automotive, and working with Redmond Richardson Funeral Home. If you knew Joe, it was nothing left to guess. He was a man of his word, and it was never a dull moment!

His memory will live on through: his devoted sister, Zeddie Mae Pressley and grandniece, Shavonda Pressley of Kingstree, SC; nephew, Wesley Pressley of Lumberton, NC; an additional grandniece, Bianca (Benjamin) Smith of Columbia, SC; grandnephew, Wesley (Chamaya) Pressley, Jr. of Lake City, SC; two aunts, Hager Lee Corbett of Sumter, SC and Almeade Joyner of Washington, DC; additional loved ones, Jerry Tisdale, Willie Tisdale and Sharon Tisdale; along with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
