Joe Louis Britton, Jr., age 64 years old, died Wednesday, August 21, 2024. He was born to Mr. Joe Louis Britton, Sr. and Sarah Britton on December 16, 1959.Junior was a proud resident that was well known and loving person. He attended Cross High School. Joe Louis was an adventurous person, who liked hunting, fishing, taking care of his cows and horses, repairing vehicles, houses and many more. He was a jack and master of all trade who worked on a construction job for many years for Howard Hess and later he was employed at the Oakland Club for many years until he was called home. He was a faithful worker who loved what he was doing at work.

He was preceded in death by: Mary Lou Britton (sister), Alphonso Britton (brother), Mary Jane Lee (sister) and Hellen Gibbs (sister); two grandchildren, Jeimya Britton and Dontrell Hill.Loved ones left to mourn: Deacon Joe Louis and Deaconess Sarah Britton of Pineville, SC; mother of the children, Ronda Britton of Wilmington, NC; children, Joe Louis Britton, III, Ronni Britton and Trevely Britton all of Wilmington, NC, Tashita (Tony) Parker of Bolivia, NC, Darnell Hill of Southport, NC and Shamika Hill-Miller of Wilmington, NC; sister, Yvonne Cooper-Rimmer of Miami, FL; two brothers, Gregory Britton of Jacksonville, FL and Micheal Britton of Macon, GA; godbrother, Willie Joe Simmons of Georgia; two aunts, Ineatha Miller of Florence, SC and Rose Anna Brown of Miami, FL; special cousin, Marshall (Lucreita) Britton of Pineville, SC; twenty-one grandchildren; one great grandchild; nephews, Trenn Leonard Cooper, Frederick Lee, Jason Lee, Gregory Britton Jr., Anton Brown and Alonza Fraizer; nieces, Sheena Frankie King, Breanna Marie Britton and Antonette Gibbs-Moses; along with a host of cousins and co-workers.

The family is receiving family and friends at 328 Pleasant Lane, Pineville, SC.
